PL Opportunity!

In addition to the many activities Coalition Canada are preparing (, the MSIC have a special contest just for K-12 students in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Hey, NLESD students! How are you making music at home? Share a picture or video of you making music at home (on Twitter or Instagram) and use our hashtag #MusicMondayAtHomeNL and you will be entered to win a $25 gift card for iTunes/Google Play.

Some extra information:

- Students should ask permission from their parent/guardian before submitting pictures or videos.

- If students don't have a social media account, they can ask their parent/guardian to share the picture/video instead.

- If students don't feel comfortable sharing their face or voice, they don't have to! Things like a picture of your music-making space or your instrument, drawing some music notes, sharing your favourite song, etc., will all be counted as an entry as long as it includes our hashtag, #MusicMondayAtHomeNL.

- Posts on Facebook will be included, but it is more difficult for us to re-post these since our main sharing account on this platform is private. We will monitor the hashtag on Facebook to be safe.

- One entry per student. - There will be 10 prizes awarded at $25 each.

- Contest winners will be RANDOMLY selected using an online generator.

- Winners will be contacted + shared on our social media pages (FB, Twitter, Instagram) on May 5th, 2020.

- Winners will have the option between iTunes or Google Play.

- Prizes will be sent digitally to the best of our ability.

- If we unable to reach a winner by June 5th, 2020, we will re-draw for their prize.

- The contest is open now and will finish at 11:59pm local time on May 4th, 2020.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We can't way to see the many ways students are making music at home!
